BlueFlip Art in Wired Magazine
February 22nd, 2008
The fine folks over at Wired Magazine were kind enough to mention BlueFlip Art in an article called “Home Improvements” found in the the Arts section of their March issue. (Hi, new Wired visitors!) The article explains the newfound affordability that the online art gallery movement has created.
The article also discusses the sites Thumbtack Press and 20×200. If you’re a BlueFlip Art fan you’ll more than likely find something you like at either of those sites, so be sure to check them out.

Limited Edition Releases Today at 3PM PST!
October 29th, 2007
So open edition prints are nice, can we agree on that? For starters they comprise the majority of the catalogue at BlueFlip Art, but more importantly they allow great art to reach the widest possible audience, and at the same time allows for the prices to remain fair.
However there’s something really great about a limited edition print as well. Something about the collectability of it and the nature of the hunt for the perfect piece. Well we here at BlueFlip Art are proud to announce that starting today, we’ll be releasing a new limited edition print every Monday at 3pm PST.
To kick things off, Utah-based artist David Habben contributes a stunning print. His new work measures 12″x9″ and is printed on heavy, archival, acid-free, 100% cotton paper. Each print in this edition of 100 is numbered, comes with a certificate of authenticity and is available for $30.
David has chosen to donate 10% of all sales to Disabled American Veterans, an organization of disabled veterans who are focused on building better lives for disabled veterans and their families.
We’d normally show you a preview of the work here, but strongly encourage you to visit the site at 3pm PST to see the piece and have a chance to own a copy for yourself.
As an added bonus, the first 50 customers that use the coupon code “FREESHIP1007″ at checkout will receive free domestic shipping to the 50 states.
Hey Creative Folks - Win Stuff!
October 2nd, 2007
We here at BlueFlip Art just want to come out and say that we’re are huge Bountee fans. For those not in the know, Bountee is a great social t-shirt site that offers unique, user-submitted designs. Well for the month of October, they’ve teamed up with Drawn.ca and started a contest: The best user-submitted design in the category of “creativity and inspiration” wins 31 free t-shirts.
Now we love this idea and wanted to sweeten the pot, so we’ve also tossed in a $75 BlueFlip Art gift certificate towards the grand prize. Draw something great, have it worn by thousands, win free t-shirts and deck out your house with great BlueFlip Art prints - sweet.
More information can be found at Drawn.ca and submissions can be seen and voted on over at Bountee. Now go get crackin’!

Super cool sites Juxtapoz and Design Federation were kind enough to give us a small write up and some additional exposure. Go read all about us, and then be sure to check out the rest of the site’s offerings (clicking ads the whole way through, naturally).
Hooray, Customers
May 2nd, 2007
Just wanted to say a big “thanks” to our customers who did business with us on our first day open. Your prints have been carefully packaged and will ship out tomorrow via UPS ground.
Also, a big shout-out goes to participating artist Dan May, who helped promote our big launch on his blog. Thanks, Dan!
And we’re off!
April 30th, 2007
After months of hard work and despite such setbacks such as a 30 year storm, a home burglary and the birth of my daughter, I’m proud to unleash BlueFlip Art upon the world. My goal with the site is simply to get great art into the hands of the public at fair prices and to give a little back to charity along the way.
The goal of this blog is to not only promote upcoming artists and artwork, but also to give visitors a sneak peek behind the curtain of what makes the site run.
So go ahead and browse some prints, or just drop us a line and say hello.
Thanks,
Matt - Founder, BlueFlip Art
