The “awkward beauty” of Aaron Nather
May 18th, 2007
Well, not Aaron Nather’s beauty but rather the strange, alien people that he paints. Aaron hails from Pasadena, California and says of his art:
“My current work shows an awkward beauty lurking beneath the surface of everyday people who struggle with elemental forces in their dreams and nightmares. Their faces express the bittersweet wonder of being alive and wide-awake in a savage, alien, and sadly beautiful universe.”
Aaron has chosen to donate a portion of the sale proceeds to The Alliance for Children’s Rights, which protects the rights and futures of abused and impoverished children throughout Los Angeles County. Oh yeah - each print is under $20!
